Cozumel 2014, Day 3

We had two more great dives today. The first began on Palancar Bricks Reef and ended on Palancar Deep Reef. The second dive was on the San Clemente Reef. Both dives concentrated on locating and photographing some very small sea creatures. These are the things many divers never see simple because they move too quickly and don't take the time to observe the handiwork of God. Our divemaster, Julio Kin, loves to search out the small critters. Today I am sharing three photos of Pipe Sea Horses. In one photo, you will see Revas fingers behind the Sea Horse and it will give you an idea of just how small these critters really are. You will also see a Lettuce Nudibranch. These critters are rarely more than one inch long and are named because their back look very much like a piece of leaf lettuce. The juvenile Trunk Fish is perhaps one half inch long and we saw another one which was less than half that size, but couldn't get a picture of it. They are very fast!  Most pictures today were taken by Reva and she got some good ones. I think you'll agree. Yesterday, on our second dive, condensation built up in my camera case and the moisture ruined my camera. We're not sure what happened, since it worked fine the first dive and the case was never opened. We have a spare camera, but we need to make sure the case isn't leaking before taking it down.   Enjoy, and please let Reva know what you think of there underwater photography talent.
